Network South – is the geographical network for Voluntary, Community and Faith groups in South and Central Sefton. Network South is part of the Sefton Community Empowerment Network (CEN) and exists to ensure that voluntary community and faith groups (including neighbourhood and tenants and residents groups) have a voice in decision-making. Its aims to: · Provide networking opportunities for groups · Improve information sharing · Provide a way of communicating the views of service users and beneficiaries to partner agencies such as Sefton Council and Sefton Primary Care Trust · Identify gaps and needs in service provision · Encourage solutions to address identified needs · Prevent duplication of services and promote joint working between agencies · Influence decisions about service development in south Sefton · Act as a single point of contact for consultation and engagement with the VCS in South Sefton Network South is represented on numerous decision-making bodies within Sefton including Sefton Borough Partnership, and the Neighbourhood Regeneration Thematic Group. Volunteer Representatives on the decision-making bodies are supported via the Sefton CVS Network Development Team.
